It's easy to back-peddle after you've said something damaging. I
don't doubt he says things for effect and, in certain circumstances,
it may have been the result of poorly chosen words.

However, Rush's stock in trade are the fabrications he spins to
support his racist following.

If the price of stoking these people to make all that money he
accumulates, don't expect the sane to forgive him when he tries to buy
into polite society.

It's really saying something that Rush's money isn't welcome among a
bunch of ego-maniacal NFL owners.

I'm sure it was similar for the rich slave traders who tried to buy
their way into polite society.
