BUSH CREATED THE MELTDOWN.
I don't think it's so simple.
We need to make the stuff we use.
The "service economy" only worked because it was built on ever
increasing debt, the imaginary inflated values of stock equities and
real estate, and foreign labor. It was destined to fail.
Some good questions to always ask yourself:
"What am I producing?"
"Who is paying my wages?"
"What are *they* producing?"
"Will they run out of money to pay me?"
Consider those questions for a while.
Then...load the cooler into the boat and go fishing.

More accurately, Bush presided over the government during the major
portion of "the meltdown," and did virtually nothing while it was
happening. In retrospect, I think Bush was almost entirely detached from
the duties of his office, and let his underlings handle almost every
policy decision, so he could spend a huge chunk of his presidency on
vacation.
Bush was lazy physically, intellectually, and emotionally, about his
presidency. He was the worst president of the past 100 years, and I
don't think anyone else is even close.
