If you are in a dredged channel you really are not in the Everglades,
at least not in the sense of getting back in the swamp.I am not even

Maybe some of the COE drainage canals? (just be aware they are
filling those in.)
There are still some pretty deep cuts but they are natural.
You can get up in there pretty far if you can run in 2 feet of water
but if you really want to go anywhere you need an air boat. I suggest
getting aerial photos. It is a better idea of what you are getting
into than the cartoon display on a GPS.
I suppose now days you can get google earth on your boat tho. I am old
school.
Palm Beach and Broward county. Look along all of I75 (Alligator Alley).
