Yeah, I guess you could just drill a hole in the bottom of the boat
and let the water out that way.
True story, friend of mine once had a 39 ft racing sloop in Stamford,
CT and hired a local teenager to help maintain it. Friend gets a
call at the office one day:
Teen: Mr A, there was a low spot in the shower that was collecting
water so I drilled a hole to let it out.
Friend: What! That's the bottom of the boat!
Teen: Yes, I found that out. Don't worry though, I put a screw in
the hole to keep it from leaking.
We went racing that weekend, screw and all. Everyone kept a close
eye on it however.
