Does anybody keep track of the days of the week when we post
the
most
politics relative to boating posts? I would guess, without
any
evidence, that as the weekend approaches, we get more boating
posts
and also get more on a Monday following a weekend of boating?
During
the week with everybody not boating it becomes political. The
obvious
solution would be longer weekends. However, for you retired
guys,
just go boating more so you have something to say.

Hey I got invited to sail on Oct. 3rd. It's a ranger
something. I'll
find
out more in a couple of days.
Are you going with a guy who's a Ranger? Be careful.

Where will this sailing trip take place?

The boat is a Ranger. The guy is an old friend. I'm always
careful.

On the water... duhh..

It'll probably be out of Santa Cruz. I'll be out that way on
business,
so
it'll work.

Nom: Remember, the things you pull on are not "ropes", they are
"sheets" or "Halyards" depending on which ones. The whole point of
having you sit "on the rail" is not to balance the boat but to get
you
soaking wet so he can see how you look in a wet t-shirt (I've tried
that one).
Sorry, this is Frogwatch on Katies computer, actually its mine but
she
gets on this group of 13 yr old girls who discuss "The Warrior Cat"
books.

I figured..

I hate all that nautical terminology but some people like to toss it
around. It's Right and Left fer gods sake. Every time somebody says
"Port" or "Starboard" I have to stop and think, "OK, I used to have
them reversed in my mind so which one is which now". Sheets, Halyards,
for gods sake its a friggin rope.

I had a friend with a Ranger, an older boat, sorta angular lines,
maybe 26' long.

However, if I went to Santa Cruz,, I would not waste time boating. Go
to the Surfing museum. Go see Muir Woods where they cool redwood trees
that are diff from the ones at Sequoia. They also have a steam train
you can take there. Too much to do there to be spending time on a boat.

Reply:
Muir woods is way to far. Just go up to Ben Lomand, etc and lots of Coastal
Redwoods. A bunch around the Santa Cruz Costco.
