Use what fits. There is no correlation between size of outboard and
shape of muffs. Any muffs that allow enough space to get around the

That is illogical, at best......
He's got a 25HP Johnson. Some of the rectangular muffs are 2" X 4", or
so. If they don't seal properly, they won't work. That's the problem

didn't work......

I use the same muffs on my 140HP Suzukis that my son uses on his 70HP
Yamahas..... they work fine..... size doesn't matter..... ask your
SO....
