There is a lot of "loss of rights" talk here but the recent DUI

The cop then took urine and he tested positive for a drug he said he
wasn't taking using the test strips that are notoriously inaccurate.
He was arrested on the spot.
The problem is these urine tests may be indicating something you took
a week ago, under a doctor's supervision.
So you could have had a colonoscopy last week, get stopped and still
show positive for that cocktail of drugs they give you.
You are going to jail.
Certainly a good lawyer will probably get you off but bear in mind the
lawyer fee is the same for getting an innocent person off as getting
off a guilty one. That is not refunded by the state.
This is simply MADDness. Political correctness run amok.
This also has boating content since DUI laws in most states apply to
boats too.
All thanks goes out to the doctrine that driving and/or boating is a
privilege and not a right. If there is social injustice and social
inequity in the system, this doctrine epitomizes these things.
And as of late, the SCOTUS has determined that even a right to the
ownership of property is now nothing more than a privilege.
Welcome to two nations under one flag.
