I have. I was stationed at Keesler AFB. And used to go to Clearwater on
business. And went to school for a year in Ohio. Lots of places have a lot
more lightning than the San Francisco Bay area. The Sierra mountains for
one.


I lived right in the middle of "lighting alley" in Florida. In summer,
you can go out in pastures and find crude glass where lightning hit the
sand ground!
