The name of the builder is ????
Generally there is a plate or sticker on the boat with the builder's name
etc. as well as other info.
Failing that, a picture would help.
Wild guess would be a Siren built in Owen Sound by VandeStadt and McGruer.

A friend of mine purchased a 16' sail boat with a cuddy at a yard sail

extensive search of the web and have found little other than he was a
small sailboat dealer/designer/builder in the 60's. I think he was around
Toronto but not sure. Also any help as to where he may get parts for it.
My
friend has no sailing experience and intends to sail any way. I have
enough
experience to know that he may get into trouble and am just trying to help
him get the info required to ge the boat sea worthy.
