Ken lake seems to be a beautiful get away spot:

Hope you have a great time.

One of the reasons I enjoy Kentucky Lake so much is because of the
fishing. The crappie fishing in the the spring is just fantastic. And
I can catch some nice crappie right off the dock where we have our
boat moored. I had my worst fishing there this outing. I hauled in a
few small bass and crappie, which I released. But, I had a lot of
large fish that broke my lines (probably channel or blue cats). I
ended up having to switch to 12 lb test from the 8 lb that I had been
using for white bass. The entire area down there, though, is a good
vacation spot. The link I have here is just for the Land Between the
Lakes;

There's so much more down there, one note wouldn't do it justice.

I've been to Carlyle Lake before; but, I 've never fished there. I've
fished Rend Lake and some of the other Lakes in the lower half of the
state, though. I'll have to give Carlyle a try sometime (if I can
ever manage to get that kind of time.)
