You might be able to ski anyway if you can find a pair of longer,
wider skiis somewhere. It might also help to go with a lower pitched

I wouldn't want to ski behind it.
Certainly not the ski boat of choice, everyone would agree. On the
other hand you can ski behind almost anything that will get on plane
if the skiis are big enough and the skiier is something less than NFL
linebacker material.
