You're right some pictures are split files so you have to combine and
decode them if you use Outlook Expres..
I'll post the the picture you asked for as a single now.

This machine (XP) has Thunderbird email on it.

Does anyone know how/where to get a setup to handle multiple part
images for that?

Ik never worked with Thunderbird so I cannot help you, sorry.
