It sounds like we should all be on the Greyhound if we really want to

Surprised that motorcycles were the most dangerous or that buses were
among the safest?

Surprised about the bus.
I figured some of that "death on the highway" would bleed over to the
bus. I assume they are averaging in all the commuter bus trips in the
city where the biggest danger is catching a stray round.
I wonder how that number comes out when you only take the intercity
bus trips into account.

Yes I know about Motorcycles. I have a Harley in the garage. I rode
for years in Md and never had a problem but these old farts here scare
the hell out of me. A trip down town is a near death experience. I
told the lady at DMV that if someone makes it alive you should just
give them a license.

The two brothers I'm going with in a couple weeks are both Harley
guys. They're pushing me to get a Harley, but I do love the way my
Guzzi handles and the fact that I can do all my own maintenance on it.

You're right about the DC area. It sucks to have to ride 45 minutes,
or more, just to get to some decent roads without the traffic. Don't
know where you are in MD, but there are some nice roads up around
Thurmont.
