From a column by Robert Tracinski, "20 Questions for Your
Congressman",
(
http://www.jewishworldreview.com/080...i081109.php3):

"Thomas Jefferson said, 'A wise and frugal government which shall
restrain men from injuring one another, which shall leave them
otherwise free to regulate their own pursuits of industry and
improvement, and shall not take from the mouth of labor the bread
it has earned. This is the sum of good government.' Notice what is
not on his list: government-provided housing, or
government-provided food, or government-provided health care. And
Jefferson's views on the role of government were widely shared by
America's Founding Fathers. So my question is: Please explain where
you disagree with the vision of our Founding Fathers, and why."
You have to go nuts, shout and disrupt, and not let anyone answer you.
That's what the conservative nutjobs are doing. I remember when Newt
Gingrich came up with that idiotic "contract with America". The people
who rallied against it were branded by the conservatives as
unpatriotic,
un-American, communists, etc. Now that the conservatives are being
loud,
disrupted and generally making fools of themselves at town hall
meetings, they are patriots!
Sorry Loogie, but you need to turn on the tube and watch something
besides GE television (MSNBC)... I just watched a straight hour of
town hall with Specter and 25 random questioners. It was smooth,
cordial, and informative.. One thing I learned is very few folks out
there really support this bill. The only bullying and beating so far
has been union thugs beating a black man. Here's another hint about
"organization". Look at the signs the folks are holding. Pro health
care, pro printed, single phrase, mass printed and produced signs,
opponents, hand made, crayon or marker on cardboard.. Do a google on
the signs and get back with me. No republicans have been "bussed" in,
unions have, no opponents have held up german symbols, this is a
liberal thing and the ones recently have been debunked. There was a
guy yesterday with a Obama Hitler sign at a rally. He carried it
around parading for the cameras, at the end of the day he was seen
handing out pro union, pro health care pamphlets. He was a plant.

Yes, I know. Liberal MUST = bad
Conservative MUST = good.
No necessarily, though it's hard to find a liberal in favor of less
government.
Liberals are still like tyrants; they want to control every aspect of
our lives through government fiat. True conservatives want government to
butt out.
Tell that to John. He says it's not so.
Loogy, that's something Donnie would do. It's not very becoming to
you.

All decisions, even those made by liberals, are the result of binary thinking.

No, not at all John. Either you want government to "butt out" or not.
You said yesterday that you didn't want government to let private
industry do as they'd like.

Show me.

And when you can't do so, you may apologize. If not, don't bother
responding.

Well then tell me, do you want government restrictions on private
industry or not?
