You are right, this bill is one of the most important bills in recent
memory, and the health care problem isn't a recent one. You might want
to consider all this could have been avoided. Up until recently,
Republicans were in control of the White House, and both Houses of
Congress. They could have done something about the spiraling health care
costs, but they didn't. Now the Democrats are. I guess that means you
pound sand.


The Democrats wouldn't let the Republicans solve the problem. Just like
they wouldn't let Bush reform Social Security. It doesn't matter what
the outcome is because you can always claim that economic forces or the
other guy sand bagged your programs. There is political hay to be made
in being the party in control when the legislation passes and having the
ability to say we passed the bill to fix it.
