Same in SWFL. Harry could tow at 70+ also if he had his trailer set
up properly and extracted his head from the nether regions of his
copious body.


Once you get the tongue weight right and pitched right my pontoon boat
goes down the road quite well at interstate speeds.
In a boat like this you want the nose lower to increase download and
make it track better. Behind a E/F Ford tow vehicle you barely know it
is there.


I had the opposite happen to me - I raised the hitch by reversing 2"
ball mount from down to up.

Made a world of difference in towing the Ranger trailer. With it mount
pointing down, it was nose heavy - with the ball mount up, the boat
was level and trailered perfectly.
