You're a funny man but you miss the point, which is:

It's not a "free country" as Bill says. If you're caught trying to
kill yourself you get arrested. Not illegally like Gates but legally.

I'm commenting from articles I've read, of course.

My aquaintances who injested LSD, do not seem to be any smarter about brain
function than anyone else. A couple are totally screwed up.

But they're a hell of lot more aware of what realities a brain can
manufacture when its chemistry is altered.
