Your whole premiss is that passing a law is going to stop people from
violating that law. Sort of like, if we pass a law against bank
robbery, people won't rob banks.

Well then, why not **** in public everywhere?

Why the hell should you be able to stop me from buying a bazooka or a
stinger missle if that's what I deem necessary to protect my family
and property.

It's my business how I handle it and none of your business whether I'm
mentally stable enough to be responsible, until I kill someone with
it.
