Laws or ethics? She did have to repay monies for her children's travel.
Then there is the Branchflower report. While no laws were broken, the
report found that she broke the Executive Branch Ethics Act when she
pressured Monegan to fire Wooten. Nothing for nothing, but who
accumulates $500,000 in legal fees defending against frivolous charges?
Frankly, and this is only my guess, but I'm still suspicious of the
timing and specifics of her house building.
