Are we badmouthing Parker again? I thought about getting the 25 with
the pilothouse for coastal cruising. New Orleans to Chicago via the
Erie Canal, perhaps. They don't all have a transom notch. The motors
on some are on brackets or jackplates, whichever. I want one with a
flushing head. Too bad the smallest with that is a foot over width, at
9 1/2 feet. I could name it Wide Load.

You can get a flushing head on the 23-footer, or at least you could. If
it isn't listed on the standard options sheet, call Parker. I am sure
they can accommodate you. My understanding is that you can get a
flushing head in the 23-foot center console model, too.
The 23-footer I saw with the flushing head had the same electric head I
had on my 25-footer.
Parker makes tough, strongly built, durable and utilitarian fishing
boats that can also be used for other purposes. They're not as fancy as
Gradys, but they are just as strong, if not stronger.
The transom notch is a non-issue except for the assholes here who try to
make it one.
