Boat looks well used. I assume Hk boat has pristine paint from not
being used.
Actually, my Parker has no paint on it, but the gelcoat is pristine.
That's because I scrub out the boat with fresh water and soap after
every use, keep it under a canvas boat cover in season, and have it
shrinkwrapped for the winter. Also, I am a careful, experienced boater
and, for the most part, have been able to avoid the sorts of boating
mishaps that trash boats.
When I sold my 2003 Parker, the buyer told me it looked "better than
new." Now, I know that was hyperbole, but...I do take care of my boats.
Now, I have owned "painted" boats in my lifetime. None of them were as
badly painted or as sloppily kept as that green rowboat.
I've read about your boating misadventures and mishaps here, and your
juryrigged "repairs." I'm sure your boats look like...crap.
