Last year complained about a problem I have with dehydration in the
heat and how I drink huge amounts of water for this. Somebody
suggested drinking gatoraide to replenish electrolytes, this is
obvious but it simply never occurred to me but I did try it. It is
really surprising how much this helps. Within a few minutes of
drinking it (compared to straight water), I feel much better.
So, I thank whoever suggested it.

UNICEF came up with a formula for electrolytes to be used for children and
adults who suffered the dehydration from diarrhea. *You take a gallon of
water. *Pick up as much sugar as you can comfortably pick up in a small
fist. *Pick up as much salt as you can pinch between three fingers. *Mix it
up. *Tests shows it is absorbed 300% as much as regular water. *When I drink
it, I feel bloated, but in my muscles rather than my stomach. *And it's
something that people have laying around a lot. *One can carry those
restaurant packages of sugar and salt in a first aid kit or gear box.

Yer welcome.

But that wouldn't be good for diabetics.....sugar.
