Let's face it, GPS is really neat, but very subject to
interference..... intentional or otherwise. Loran is pretty
bulletproof and ground based.... all good things from a reliability
standpoint.


but no military uses LORAN. and it's certainly subject to sabotage,
etc. bringing down a LORAN tower takes a few pounds of C4....
