Part of many religions includes respect for others. There's nothing
unique about that. And the bit about being one's brother's (or
neighbor's) keeper was written down long before there was Christianity.

So when it takes so long to help a hostage and you can help, but politics is
more important I don't see that as a christian way of thinking.

I doubt religion or religious beliefs had anything to do with the rescue
of the crew or the captain of that U.S. flagged vessel. I'm sure all the
critical decisions were made by the military officers on the spot, and
that includes the schedule.

When you justify GM bailouts with BS, taking from so many Americans to
bailout the the so few, I call it theft.

There's a chance GM and Chrysler may emerge as viable companies,
providing employment to hundreds of thousands of American workers
at the car companies, their suppliers, and their dealerships. I'd rather
do what it takes to take *that* chance than watch the previous
administration **** away my tax dollars on idiotic foreign adventures in
Iraq, where the outcome is certain to be a failed nation-state.

At one point I even liked Obama, but his actions appear as arrogance and
hypocracy.

Nothing Obama has done even begins to compete with the arrogance and
hypocrisy of the Bush Administration.
