agreed. there's a blue-jillion small block Chevy engines out there,
with plenty of aftermarket parts for everybody. Even if the boat mfj's
switch horses for something else, stuff will or maybe I need to say,
"should" be available for years to come.

And there are several companies 'remanning' them.

You can get all the 410 inch aluminum small blocks you want from the
sprint car vendors.
