No, he's correct. There is no "Democrat Party". Just as there is no
"Republic Party". But if you disagree, maybe you could provide a link
of some sort to the party's website.

Yes, I know this. The Republicans have made a concerted effort to cut
off the last syllable of the proper name of the Democratic Party every
time they mention it as an act of disrespect. Like junior high
name-calling, it serves to do little to insult the Democratic Party or
its followers, but speaks volumes about the lack of respect
Republicans have for anyone other than themselves.

I was referring off-handedly to the short attention span of someone
who won't bother to spell out the entire name.
