I mentioned the RAV4 to my younger daughter. She wouldn't think of
owning one. Her comment, "Dad, that's a *pansy* car!"
I just thought I'd share that with you.

That's really too bad and an indicator of why the American Auto Industry
is in such bad shape.
You should be more responsible in providing fatherly advice.
What do you think a US gallon of gas will cost in a couple of years after
the recovery?
It's too bad the ejaculates who whine about the RAV4 know very little
about it.
Car and Driver magazine likes it:
"The RAV4 is a C/D favorite, having won a recent comparison test of eight
of its competitors as well as back-to-back 5Best Trucks awards. What we
like most about the RAV4 is its refined, carlike demeanor. Available in
front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive, the RAV4 isn’t exactly ready to
conquer serious off-road trails, but its ground clearance and all-wheel
drive do allow it to tackle inclement weather with ease. The excellent
fuel economy of the four-cylinder, decent driving dynamics, and massive
interior space put the RAV4 at the head of its class. The V-6–powered
model is a rocket, but may be overkill for most buyers."
Consumer Reports has it at the top of the small SUVs and at least two
Canadian cable auto programs rate it tops.
Johnny & his Dope Army irregulars are probably stuck in the 1st or 2nd
generation version.
Mine is the 3rd generation and this year they gave us a larger engine with
13 more horsepower.
Johnny PrepH may not know that my '09 RAV4 4 cylinder has 26% more power
than my old Plymouth Voyager with it's 3.0 V6
and 21% more than my '06 Ranger PU with its 3.0 V6.- Hide quoted text -

From Popular Mechanics magazine:

Which says in part:
Cute, reliable and loaded with personality, the RAV4 seems to appeal
especially to women–at least based on the results of our
questionnaire. In our survey, female owners/drivers outnumbered their
male counterparts by a 2:1 ratio
Yeah, that sounds manly!

I've always seen a Rav4 as a hairdressers car? But it has been
changing recently
Yeah, that's manly!

The RAV4 of the late nineties was one of the earliest of the new
generation of compact SUVs, its cutesy looks and frugal powertrain
striking a popular chord with sorority girls and single moms
everywhere, and within months challenging the VW Cabriolet for its
"chick-car" tiara.
HEEEEHEEE!!!!!

Toyota says about 65 percent of RAV4 buyers are expected to be women
ages 25-45
