Why is it that conservatives like Thomas and Alito, who lean so far to
the right that they're practically horizontal are considered
"patriotic," rational people who will calmly uphold the letter of the
law and anybody to the left of them is invariably described as a
hyperventilating, extremist, ultra liberal? Why is it so hard to be a
right wing extremist and so ****ing easy to be a left wing one?
