COLUMBIA, SC (AP) - A Democrat in his second term in the South
Carolina House is switching to the majority party.
Rep. Dennis Moss of Gaffney says he votes more often with Republicans
anyway. The 55-year-old retired Highway Patrol officer announced his
decision Friday in Gaffney.
His switch brings the GOP back to the 73-51 majority it held before
the 2008 elections.
The announcement follows last month's election of Republican Steve
Moss from Blacksburg in a neighboring district. Moss replaced the late
Rep. Olin Phillips, who served for three decades as a Democrat.
It's the first party switch in the House since 2004, when Reps. John
"Bubber" Snow of Hemingway and George Bailey of St. George filed for
re-election with the GOP. Snow was defeated later that year. Bailey
was ousted in 2006.
*snerk
Aren't you dopes planning to secede or go all-teabag-all-the-time?
Wekkend's here, kleagle...your white klan suit ready for the bonfire?
Wekkend??? *Hehhehehe... harry's losing it. *"Delicious". *I'm betting
on pickled.
Why do you guys play with this moron?
It's not fun anymore - he's predictable as an atomic clock and as
obnoxious as a clown show at a funeral.
Just ignore him - maybe he'll go victimize some other group.
Boredom... and it's morbidly fascinating.
I'm waiting on a call to let me know the boat is ready to pick up from
it's 10 - 20 hour service. I took it to them via water on Tuesday,
and they are taking care of a couple of small issues, mounting the ski
tow bar, and should have it ready this afternoon. Probably cruise
back across the lake tomorrow morning and spend some time out before
the afternoon weather arrives.
When I get it back I can intall the new Siruis receiver in it, and
we'll be good to go for the summer. Can't wait.
