Actually, I don't know "the issue" regarding "Tommy." I have no idea why
Tommy objects to the very common nickname for the name Thomas.

I don't expect him to "buy" my politics, but I don't recall him objecting
much if at all to the idiocies of the Bush Administration. He bought into
every lie Cheney put in Bush's mouth.

Tom explained it very clearly here in this group. You remember everything
