No question. Florida has much to offer, but the quality of the water
isn't one of them.

When you say "quality," are you referring to perceived taste or
contaminates or both? We had municipal water in NE Florida and I don't
recall it tasting funky.
It probably varies from local to local. The area we were in had private,
shallow wells and the water had a lot of sulfur and iron.
Everyone's well was equipped with an elaborate water conditioning system to
remove the iron and the sulfur stink. Even though we had a new, undated
system installed when we bought the house, we still used bottled water for
drinking and cooking. Couldn't get used to it.
