I've bought decent bread at Publix. They bake on site. French and
Italian. Might be local practices. Never found the ryes or black
breads we get baked locally here.

b. the high price of produce. I really thought we'd be paying a lot
less at the grocery store for produce. Nope.

When we moved to Florida, Publix had lousy bread. I'm glad to hear it
has improved, at least in your area. We'll be in Florida later this
month, and will check it out.
