Just curious, does the body have to be found for there to be a murder
charge?

Different countries will have different laws relating to murder charges. I
would have thought the wife's evidence would be sufficient to justify a
charge of murder, but you never know.

The news was quite specific in stating that the Burmese has confessed
and been charged with aggravated assault and illegal migrant status
and if the body is found then will be charged with murder.
