Since my son pays for the 07 Dodge Charger my costs for the 06 Ranger PU
have been low..... maybe $5K for lease payments, insurance & expensive
gas.
My investments were doing well until y'all down there screwed up the
worlds finances.

$5k? You have even fewer brain cells than I thought. Hell, at $250 a
month lease, and I bet is a lot bigger than that, you are sending $3000 a
year to the lease company. Probably at least $700 a year for insurance,
and the maintenance costs, plus fuel. You better recheck your figures.

I practice buy and hold on automobiles. I buy new and hold them for 10 or
more years. The big ticket maintenance costs are lower because I know the
entire history of the vehicle and how well it has been cared for.

I'm going back into that mode...hence the very reliable Toyota RAV4.
The leased Ranger was a one time thing.
