I saw that episode, too. It's father/son. The father says he's glad the
son is there because he thinks the part of his brain that senses fear was
left in his mom's womb. He's right. He's an idiot, but a dangerous idiot.
I'd be scared to be on the same body of water with him. He does get the
log, though.
Reminded me of another show I've seen a couple times. "Jackass."
I was a commercial diver for six years, and a scuba diver six years before
that. That man is going to kill someone, or cause someone to be killed.
It's that simple. He's got a diver in his operation, but we'll see how long
that lasts.
That diver didn't seem too bright, either. I thought you had to learn
how to swim first.
Man, oh, man. Why can't "regular" people go to Hollywood and pitch ideas?
I can think of a dozen better premises for shows that a lot of this crap.
Shoot, anyone could just go set up at a busy boat ramp and take videos and
make a lot of money. Just make the faces fuzzy like they do. There's some
funny stuff goes on at boat ramps.
And a lot of true stories about my family and in-laws are a damn more
interesting, funny, tragic, and sick than a lot of those the overpaid
writers come up with. Kinda a cross between Jeff Foxworthy and Ozzie
Osbourne. And Lassie.
You have to get a video camera and shoot. Take some classes first
maybe. I'll bet there's a market for anything done well.
"Dirty Jobs" is probably the most real. But seeing whats-his-name
covered in **** gets old pretty fast.
