There is no way to equate John's life experiences to yours. You seem

I don't give a damn about his "life experiences." I didn't "know" him
when he was experiencing life. I do recall that when he was substitute
teaching at a public school apparently populated heavily by minorities,
he was overtly racist. These days, he's nothing more than a hate-filled,
right-wing blowhard, just like your good buddy Florida Jim.
