Against your advice
Off today to build the floor.....
I have a friend who manages a lumber yard and throughout the year he comps
contractors material to try out and give there reviews...I was comped
6 -1/2" composite (plastic) material. They are 12 inches wide and 18 feet
long. I have bonded them together and made 2 pieces 18 feet by 30 inches.
After ripping out the floor, I used cardboard to cut out a template of the
floor. I am now taking that template to cut out half the floor then
reversing it to cut the out the other half then I will bond them together.
Hopefully with everything correct glue and drop the floor right in place.
The glue I am using is a bond used in Bodyshops to adhere quarter panels and
body moldings on automobiles curing time is about 24 hours. Once that sets,
I am going to use a self leveling heavy liquid to fill in the outside seams.
With the floor and boat level that should work real well.
Just an update!!
