The last time I had the prop off, I replaced the pin with what I
thought was non-magnetic stainless - apparently not because I just
looked at my HO this afternoon and cotter pin for the prop is rusted
to hell and gone. I replaced both around the same time with the same
type cotter pin.

Thanks for the heads up. I had it off in the late fall and it looked
fine
but will buy a new one this spring.
Funny...I was planning to buy a spare (concerned about the metal
weakening
after a few straightening & re-bending cycles) but the parts guy said
you
could re-use them a number of times & not to worry.
