There is no such thing as a "phosphorous cluster bomb" except in some
lunatic fantasy land somewhere. The phosphorous used is a means of
lighting the battlefield and has previously been accepted in the
"rules of war." There appears to have been some injury to civilians by
burns from the phosphorous and because of this Israel is going to do
an re-evaluation of the practice. If it's found to do untoward damage
to civilians, Israel will, of course, drop the practice and we should
look for Hamas to then take up the practice, depending upon just how
dangerous it really is to civilians.

It may well be smoke from white phosphorus, just like the article
suggests. What was that about cluster bombs?
