Smokes already hit (at one time ) 10 bucks a pack with their new tax
gouges...it only encouraged us (yes I'm a smoker) to go to the
Reserve, BYPASSING the tax system, and leaving the Govt. wondering
what the hells going on (because all the store owners that made 75% of
their PROFIT... through the sale of Tobacco, and are now HURTING )....
Is THIS smart Govt. ?
IF they REALLY wanted the public to quit...they'd ban Tobacco
completely.......dont you think?

Most folks don't have a Res to go to conveniently. I think for what
it costs the taxpayer in public health care, tobacco both wholesale
and retail should bear a good portion of the real burden.

The cost of smoking to our society is a hidden tax that no one
considers when discussing our progressive tax system. We should.

Based on how many people end up in public hospitals dead or with gun
shot wounds (costing public hospitals hundreds of millions of dollars
annually), gun manufacturers and consumers should go on the hook for a
nice big percentage. Maybe just handgun related, cops would get their
supplies tax free.

Everyone wants freedom to have and do whatever they please, few
willingly face the cost of that freedom.
