More pesky horses in the news.

I rounded up a horse on I-4 at the Haines City exit and led him up to
the gas station on the south side. We were giving him a drink out of
a dry wall bucket I had in my truck when the owner drove up. He had
fallen out of the trailer and they didn't notice until the trailer
door swung out past the edge of the trailer.
The lady was very happy to see the horse, even if he was scuffed up a
mite. The horse was not in a hurry to get back in the trailer tho.
Wow, deja vu! Once years ago, about a mile from that very exit, I
watched as a truck carrying a horse trailer lost control, swerved a
couple of times, and finally flipped the trailer on it's side. Three
horses in it. Don't know the outcome, didn't stay.
Probably bad outcome. Going to work one morning down I-680 the CHP officer
has his gun drawn and ready to put down a horse that got out of a pasture
and had been hit by a car. Was standing there with most of it's innards
exposed. Past by before the officer finished the job the car started.
