Funny! There's an ana-mule with personality.
He's a pain in the ass.
That's "Sebastian". He is (or was) one of the most anti-social horses
among other horses that exists. Horses are herd animals and typically like
to be among other horses. Not Sebastian.
He thrives on being by himself. Until recently.
Anna has two horses over at her friend's barn the next town over because
they use them for
riding lessons for other people and for competition in horse shows.
Sebastian, being an ornery old coot was kept by himself at our house and he
was in heaven. Then, another friend brought a mare to stay at our barn for
a while. (You can see her in the background in the pictures I posted)
Sebastian fell in love. He can't tolerate being separated from the mare.
If you put him out in the paddock without her around he fusses, kicks the
gate, runs around like an idiot and tries to pull the gate down with his
teeth. It's a bit scary to see how powerful a horse is. That's when I
hop in my truck and go for a ride.
