What's stupid? That there are innocent civilians in Gaza, or that it is
a prison? It seems to fit this definition:

restraint, or safe custody.

Your use of that definition to apply to Gaza also means that the Earth
is a prison. After all, only a very few priveledged folks are allowed
to leave if they want to. The rest of us are confined to the Earth,
just like Gaza.
