Just came in from doing the driveway. Got a little over a foot this
time. Wind is just blowing it all back to where I've plowed, so I quit.

Why are you so concerned about removing the snow from your driveway?

:)

Good question. It ends up turning into a sheet of ice anyway. Earlier
today I told Mrs.E. that we'd be better off not plowing it because both her
Navigator and my truck have better 4x4 traction in snow than on ice. She
looked at me like I had two heads.

The pictures you see of our driveway are a bit deceiving. There is quite a
steep hill coming up from the horse barn to the house. If it's not plowed,
the snow packs down into ice and it becomes very slippery.
After the last storm which was about 18 inches of snow, then some sleet and
brief rain the temps dropped that night to about 10 degrees. The only way
to get from the house to the barn was sitting on your ass and sliding down
the hill. Behind the barn (actually in front of it looking from the road)
there's another driveway section that circles around the barn and up to the
house from the other direction. That section also is a fairly steep hill
that turns to solid ice unless you can get it down to bare blacktop first.

I had to spread 9 bags of rock salt after the last storm. I hate using
that stuff, but the "environmentally friendly" stuff is about 17 bucks a
bag versus 7 bucks for rock salt.
