That's odd, I don't know of anybody who doesn't like Comcast phone.
I don't like it. Mine drops the connection too much.
Besides that, when I lose service to the phone, which has happened far
too often, I also lose the net and TV.
I'm looking at alternatives.

Phone over internet is not reliable.
Don't stop there give us a dissertation on the evils of VoIP and why it
isn't reliable.
My problem is the Comcast internet here isn't reliable. I might get
the Skype service where you keep your phone number and you can
hook a Skype phone to the modem - don't have to have a computer turned
on. Unfortunately the phone looked pretty expensive when I last
checked.
But I would want an AT&T DSL line instead of Comcast, hoping it would
be more reliable. Don't know.
It would be a lot cheaper. Going to DSL and Skype would eliminate my
Comcast digital phone and internet which total about $100 a month.
The new cost for Phone/DSL would be about $20 a month.
Not sure how well Skype would work with DSL, or how much my daughter
would bitch about DSL instead of broadband when doing her schoolwork.
So I probably won't do a damn thing.
But hey, I did give it some thought.
