Had not heard that one for a long time. Â*I remember it be shortened to
simply, "****in' A Ditty".

Now, I wonder how many non vets know what a dittybag is Â*(without the help
of Google)

In the British Royal Navy it's called the "Sailor's Nanny"


Made me look it up. Heres my favorite, especially the comment about
the 30-06 and the Washington monument.

I don't remember getting charged for a dittybag, or even remember what
one looks like. Think my sewing kit was self-contained.
I just remember hearing and saying "****ing-A dittybag."
Gedunk was another term used on my ship.
Don't know if it was widespread. I can only go by my ship.
Lots of common Navy terms are missing from the site - looks like
somebody lost interest.
