Yes, I purchased it from HK Supplies. It worked great for a few month,
and then started to short out (this is just a guess), but it is based
upon my the fact that my batteries would drain completely in less than 5
minutes. When I removed the shutter release, it worked perfectly.

I had the same problem with the off brand battery grip. It worked great
for a few months, then my shutter froze open. The service dept.
replaced the shutter, only to have it reoccur in a few weeks. I solved
shutter problem by removing the battery grip.

I guess there is something to be said about you get what you pay for.
