Fitzgerald stated that "the president elect" was not named in the
indictment. What Fitzgerald didn't say is that "the president elect"
wasn't a figure in the investigation.

Axelrod says on national TV that The Obama has communicated with
Governor Blagojevich regarding who should replace The Obama in the
Senate seat that The Obama vacated.

The Obama says on national TV that he, The Obama, has not talked with
Governor Blagojevich regarding who should replace him.

Axelrod has one of his underlings come out and state that Axelrod
misspoke. Why couldn't Axelrod state that he misspoke himself? Sounds
like Axelrod is preserving his ability to tell Fitzgerald the truth when
he is deposed. If there is anything that Scooter Libby taught everyone
it is to keep your mouth shut and speak through surrogates.

And, Axelrod's appearances on any upcoming talking head shows have just
been canceled for the foreseeable future.
