Default Air circulation under mattress

What about the fiber pads used in the rooftop evaporative coolers or "swamp
coolers" popular in the West?

There is an open mesh material maybe half inch thick made to lay under a
mattress to allow air to circulate, however it is quite expensive. It

looks
somewhat like the washable mesh filters in HVAC systems. I have to

there is some sort of common building material similar to this, however

I've
not yet found it.
I could also use a thinner sheet of such material. perhaps 1/8 to 1/4

inch
thick to line a locker used for storing a spinnaker.
Has anyone seen such material?
Thanks!

Try looking at the mat that is used under cedar shake shingles. It
sounds like what you are seeking.
