I'm just sayin'.

Speaking of which...

I received my E-3 yesterday with the 12-60mm 14 element zoom - wowzers
is that lens sharp.

My E-520 has the same operating system, but the E-3 is set up a little
differently - it's going to take some getting used to. First camera I
ever had that I could set the viewfinder diopter to the exact correct
adjustment for me - that's a real plus.

And I really like the LiveView feature.

I'm impressed - glad I bought it.

Now I need to get rid of the E-300 and E-330.

I just read the DP Review on the E-3 and the 12-60. Nice piece of goods.
The lens is a killer. Congratulations.

I blew some dollars on that lens, but I know it's going to be worth
it.

Next up - fixed 150 mm lens and a 14-54 mm after that.

My first digital camera was an Oly.
I was an early adopter of digital. In early 2000, I met a guy on a Power
Squadron rendezvous, and he showed me his 2MP C-2020. I was impressed and
ready to make the leap. The C-3030 was just about ready to hit the streets.
I laid claim to the first one scheduled to arrive at one of the local camera
stores. The C-3030 was a 3MP point and shoot, albeit with full manual
control. $1,000, if you can believe that. A cool large for a 3MP P&S.
Man, we've come a long way in 8 short years.

Hard to believe isn't it? We've pretty much traveled the same path -
I did pretty much the same as you.

But I'll tell you, that camera
took excellent images. I have hundreds of shots archived from that little
camera that still look outstanding, even by today's standards. The biggest
limitation was the 3MP size of the files. It really limited the ability to
crop and enlarge. But color, clarity, and exposure were typically nuts-on
with that little dude. I later bought a waterproof Oly 410 as a dedicated
boat camera. That one was a 4MP point and shoot that I picked up at Costco
for $200 I think in 2005 or thereabouts. I still have the 3030, but gave
the 410 to a nephew.

Two of the best images I've ever taken was with a C-960Z Oly - 1.3
megapixel.

You can do some great work with a PnS if you take your time.

I was hoping to find some Cyber-Monday deals on the D300, but it was not to
be. The price seems to be holding in the high $1,400's. Gonna have to lean
hard on Santa.

10-4. Actually, the lens is a early Christmas present from Mrs. Wave.

I have an idea that I'm expected to get her something she's wanted for
a while but won't buy for herself. :)

The book is shaping up very nicely.

I'm looking forward to it - it's going to be spectacular I'm sure.
